Introduction to Photography Course commencing 14th January 2027 Update

​

The course is focused on digital photography and will be run over 8 weeks with 2 hour sessions on Thursday nights commencing 14th January 2027 from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.  In addition, we have one weekend afternoon outing doing landscape photography.

The course will cover:

• Using your camera confidently

• Understanding the role of light

• Photographing people

• Exploring night photography

• Shooting landscapes

• Creating still-life and close-up images

• Getting started with photo editing

·       At the end of the course, you will select one of your own images to edit with guidance from an experienced club member. The image will be printed and mounted ready for framing at approximately A3 size, so you can take it home to frame and display.

Cost of the course:

·         Option A: $330 includes the course and Geelong Camera Club membership until 31st July 2027. Membership gives you access to all club events, including additional training, support sessions, and photography outings to help build your skills.

Or

·       Option B: $300 covers the course only and does not include the additional benefits of Geelong Camera Club membership.

·         Bookings stay open until the week before the course commences.

·         There is a small additional admin fee when using the Trybooking system.

·         The course is strictly limited to 20 participants and will be advertised at the local camera store and on            social media.

·         We will initiate a “wait list” so if you miss out, register your interest & if someone drops out, we can             contact you.
