INTRODUCTION TO PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE
Introduction to Photography Course
The Geelong Camera Club runs an Introduction to Photography course each year starting in late January. Nominations for the 2026 course are now closed.
The course is focused on digital photography and is run over 8 weeks with 2 hour sessions on Thursday nights from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. In addition, we have one weekend afternoon outing doing landscape photography.
During the course we will cover:

Learning to use your camera

The role of light
-
Taking pictures of People
-
Night Photography
-
Shooting Landscapes
-
Still Life & Close Up photography

Introduction to editing your photos
-
At the end of your course, you will choose one of your images that you have taken during the course that will be edited by an experienced club member with your guidance that we will have it printed and mount ready for framing around A3 size
The course also includes Membership to the Geelong Camera Club till 31st July which will allow you to attend some of our other training / support sessions & outings by the club to further your understanding of photography.

Booking for this course are done online using the Trybooking system

Bookings stay open until the week before the course commences.

There is a small additional admin fee when using the Trybooking system.

The course is strictly limited to 20 participants and will be advertised at the local camera store as well.
